Home School Association
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Madonna del Sasso Parish School is to motivate, instruct and nurture children in the beliefs, practices and values of the Catholic community integrated with the highest standards of academic excellence, physical development and leadership skills to become lifelong learners inspired by Jesus Christ.
The Home and School Association exists to foster a sense of community and to emphasize the connection between home and school. All parents of students enrolled in Madonna del Sasso School are members of the HSA. The HSA operates under the auspices of the Advisory Board. The chairperson of the HSA steering committee is an ex-official member of the Advisory Board.
Home and School Association meetings/activities are an important part of the parental involvement with the school and attendance at each event is strongly encouraged. The meetings provide an opportunity to keep abreast of school and HSA activities, share concerns, meet other parents and offer suggestions or ask questions. As an added incentive, the class with the largest number of parents in attendance at each meeting receives $25.00 from the HSA and parents may earn one service hour per family for attending each meeting.

PRESIDENT
President facilitates organization of all events, maintains on-going Board participation, ensures fundraisers & events are carried out. Attends all HSA meeting, volunteers’ ideas, makes suggestions, and assists where needed at HSA events.
SECRETARY
Records meeting notes, maintains & distributes a monthly minutes report, communicates meeting information to Board. Attends all HSA meeting, volunteers’ ideas, makes suggestions, and assists where needed at HSA events.
BOOKKEEPER
Process & record all monies, income & expenditures for HSA bank account. Process’ expense reports, prepares & communicates overall event budget reporting. Attends all HSA meeting, volunteers’ ideas, makes suggestions, and assists where needed at HSA events.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Committee Members attends all HSA meeting, volunteers’ ideas, makes suggestions, and assists where needed at HSA events.
PUBLICATIONS
Publications create HSA distributed documents as needed throughout the year. Attends all HSA meeting, volunteers’ ideas, makes suggestions, and assists where needed at HSA events.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Volunteer Coordinator manages a master HSA volunteer list and Communicates and coordinates volunteers, as needed, throughout the year. Attends all HSA meeting, volunteers’ ideas, makes suggestions, and assists where needed at HSA events.
