Financial Aid: Financial Aid packets are now in the school office.
From Dr. White: A great big THANKS to Michael Castagnetto and all who worked with him to make our Evening in Tuscany a success. The measure of success for this kind of event is much more that the money generated--although that is always helpful. We need to acknowledge that in a school such as ours, the opportunity to work together and to enjoy one another in a party atmosphere is important and indeed Godly. Thanks to all who worked so hard and thanks to everyone who came and shared, laughed and danced. If you didn't make it this time, make a promise to yourself that you'll come next year and have a good time. It will be a few days yet until we balance the expenses and the profits from the evening. We'll let you know what the final numbers turn out to be.
Service Hour Opportunity: Deacon Carl Figenshow has been put in charge of recruiting help for a bone marrow registration drive that will take place in the church foyer on March 26, 2010. The following is a part of an article that will appear in the church bulletin: Marrow Registration Drive
Be the Match Marrow Registry has been invited to our parish to conduct a marrow drive event on March 26, 2010 from 3:00 pm-7:30 pm. Madonna del Sasso will be sponsoring a marrow drive for 15 year old Jose Lopez and thousands of other patients like him, Jose Lopez from Gonzalez, California, was an active teen when he was diagnosed with Leukemia about a year ago. A marrow transplant can help him have a full recovery. We need many more donors to join the registry to help patients like Jose. The marrow drive will be in the church foyer during the last fish feed.
Deacon Carl needs 5 volunteers per shift and expects to have 3 shifts. If you can help on March 26th, please call the school office at 424-7813.
Rainy Day Dismissal: Effective immediately, we will begin a new procedure for 1st-8th grade dismissal on rainy days. When it is a rainy day, the children will wait in the classrooms to be picked up by parents, other family members or friends whom you have authorized. This should provide a safer environment during inclement weather. Visitor's Badges are not required when coming on campus after school to pick up the children from the classrooms. Please pass this information along to those who are on the list to pick up your child. Thank you!
